“From Desert to Space” is video animation about NASA’s research group, D-RATS (Desert Research And Technology Studies). The purpose of this research group is improving and developing new technology, and trying to expand human presence to more formidable environments such as Mars and asteroids. Using extreme weather in desert, the scientists test new equipment before sending them to outer space. The video introduces technologies that have been improved by D-RATS, and it acknowledges how deserts help humans in developing technology.
I researched several information for video to help me organize and narrow down. I decided to make video in cartoon style because it is easier to watch and understand since the main target was teenager.
